Hello there!

My name is Jaime Tomiko Wong and I am 28 years old. I grew up in beautiful Southern California and I’ve been blessed to have sunshine pretty much all-year round. As a child, I struggled with eczema on various parts of my body and after disappearing throughout my adolescence, it came back with a vengeance when I was going through college. This was when sunshine became my worst enemy because I would struggle with insecurity of my skin’s appearance along with the physical pain from itching like crazy.

Despite this adversity, I was fortunate to learn the importance of skincare from an early age when my mom would take me along to her facial and waxing appointments. When she would make those appointments for me, I was always curious about the process (i.e., What was the esthetician going to do to my face? What were the products being used? How did they learn all of this?).

Fast-forward 10+ years later, I would make the huge decision to switch career fields at the end of 2021. The light was sparked after taking an eyelash extension course with my lash artist (shoutout to you, Lissette!). She let me know from the very beginning that if I wanted to become serious in this industry, I would have to put myself through esthetician school. My boyfriend Daniel also encouraged me to get into the beauty industry when he pointed out “All you do is talk about your lash extensions, facials, and waxing…why don’t you just do it?”

After my course and that conversation with Daniel, I used the remainder of 2021 to tour beauty schools and find the one that fit with my schedule and most importantly, one that I felt I could excel in. Once January 2022 came, I hit the ground running by officially enrolling at Neihulé Academy (one of the best cosmetology schools in Los Angeles, California) and I was set to start at the end of the month. While in school, I already had plans to open my own studio because I have always wanted to work for myself. Before I even realized the extremity of my actions, I graduated in September and became a licensed esthetician in November 2022! I also finally achieved my dream of opening my own studio.

Aside from skincare and beauty, I am also passionate about fitness, clean eating, and I enjoy watching a borderline unhealthy amount of YouTube.

My ultimate goal is to help you feel beautiful and confident in your skin, regardless of your skin type. I’m so happy you’re here and I hope to have you in my studio soon!
